Professor Jingang Yi’s paper is awarded the Best Paper in Leading International Journal, Automation Science and Engineering

The paper co-authored by Professor Yi was selected as the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Best New Application Paper Award in 2015. Professor Yi was honored at the awards ceremony held at 2016 IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering on August 24, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. The award paper entitled “Dynamic Collaboration between Networked Robots and Clouds in Resource-Constrained Environments” was co-authored by Parul Pandey, Dario Pompili (both from ECE at Rutgers) and Jingang Yi and published in IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, vol. 12, no. 2, April 2015, pp. 471-480. The IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering (T-ASE) is the leading international journal that publishes fundamental papers on Automation, emphasizing scientific results that advance efficiency, quality, productivity, and reliability. The Best New Application Award was selected by the award committee from all papers published in T-ASE in 2015 and the factors to be considered for the award include the significance of new applications, technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, and clarity of presentation.
