This page presents materials to help you set up your own online lecture, office hours and group meetings. It also offers guidance for remote administration of assessments. While there are many different ways of connecting with students and advisees online, this tutorial is prepared to provide a baseline method that everyone can follow. We intentionally provide a very specific set of instructions and try to eliminate options to avoid confusion to instructors and to students. Once you are fully familiar with the capabilities and the technology, you can easily deviate from these guidelines to improve your experience. Here it is assumed that you will meet your students at a scheduled date and time online – this is called the synchronous mode. It is closest to your existing in-person teaching/meeting method.
