Undergraduate Programs

Overview

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering offers three Bachelor of Science Degrees (see the ME undergraduate or AE undergraduate handbook):

Aerospace Engineering

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering offers an aerospace engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering, which culminates with a bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. An energy concentration is also available leading to additional certificates.

Energy Systems Concentration

Students following this concentration are required to select only energy systems electives as departmental/technical electives. Students completing the requirements for this concentration receive a certificate in addition to their aerospace engineering diploma.

Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering offers a mechanical engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering, which culminates with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. An energy concentration and an aerospace concentration are also available leading to additional certificates.

Energy Systems Concentration

Students following this concentration are required to select only energy systems electives as departmental electives. Students completing the requirements for this concentration receive a certificate in addition to their mechanical engineering diploma.

Aerospace Concentration

Students following this concentration are required to select only energy systems electives as departmental electives. Students completing the requirements for this concentration receive a certificate in addition to their mechanical engineering diploma.

Packaging Engineering

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering offers both a packaging engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor of science degree in applied science.
